RCCG Agape centre is a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God worldwide, a direct offspring of RCCG Discipleship Centre Portsmouth, UK. The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is a group of international churches established since 1952.

We know that God is love, His love for all mankind (irrespective of race, culture or status), is unconditional. As Jesus’ disciples and in line with RCCG Worldwide mandate, we are committed to preaching, teaching, deeply understanding and effectively sharing the love of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, for all mankind, with all we come in contact with.

We believe as you fellowship with us, your deeper understanding of God and better sharing of His love will produce amazing experience of His promises and true love in your life, your relationships and in our community.

Statement of Faith

The following Statement of Faith is scriptural and within the context of the bible:

We believe in the trinity: God the Father; God the Son (Jesus Christ); and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Bible as the infallible Word of God. We believe in divine healing, the restoration of health to the one who believes and acts out God’s word, and that Jesus Christ is the Healer. We believe in tithing and bringing offerings into the local church for the propagation of the Gospel and expansion of God’s kingdom on earth. We also believe in giving alms, caring for the poor, sick, homeless and the unfortunate. We believe in water baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

RCCG Worldwide Mandate

As received by the General Overseer (G.O.), Pastor E. A. Adeboye and communicated to the Headquarters, leaders, our vision and mission statement shall remain as follows:

1. To make heaven.

2. To take as many people with us.

3. To have a member of RCCG in every family of all nations.

To accomplish No. 1 above, holiness will be our lifestyle.

To accomplish No. 2 and 3 above, we will plant churches within five minutes walking distance in every city and town of developing countries and within five minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries.

We will pursue these objectives until every Nation in the world is reached for the Lord Jesus Christ

Men’s Ministry

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. Ephesians 5:25 – 26. To be responsible men obedient to the word of God, which is his will, Agape Men’s Fellowship provides all men, regardless of status or class, the opportunity, to relate with other godly men and develop individual, corporate and spiritual tools to become mature Christians fulfilling their purpose at home, in the church, workplace, in the community and in the world at large.

Women’s Ministry

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. Proverbs 31:10 – 11. The role of a woman in the family cannot be understated as it dictates the stability of the home front. At Agape Women Fellowship, we are poised to encourage women of all classes including teenagers to meet up with God's mandate for us as wives, sisters, and future lovers that God’s name may be glorified in our lives. We also share together to develop individual, corporate, and spiritual tools and become mature and responsible women fulfilling purpose at home, in the church, workplace, in the community, and in the world at large.

Emerging Leaders

We are aware of the importance of guiding our teens and young adults. For this purpose, we have selected role models amongst us who can mentor them and answer all those nagging questions that they may have which potentially might lead them to seek answers from the wrong places. We have all been there and know the importance of this period in the life of our children hence we have constituted a formidable team who by the grace of God and with the word of God share with our teens and relate with them also from personal life experiences. Don’t think that we have forgotten the importance of having fun; see you around on Sunday!

Matthew 19:14 At Agape centre we accept the mandate of God for us as parents and steer all efforts necessary as we are led by the spirit of God in us to bring up our wards in the way of the lord such that when they are grown, they will not depart from it.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer is the Key. The Bible admonishes us to: “Pray without ceasing” 1 Thess 5:17. A second example Scripture says “Men ought always to pray, and not to faint” Luke 18:1b. These scriptures portray the importance of prayer in the life of every Christian. The prayer altar of a Christian demands faith, consistency, focus, and God's grace. Our aims are 1. To Intercede for the church, its members, and the host community, 2. Praying the souls of men back to the kingdom of God (in conjunction with the evangelism department) 3. Teaching men the art of praying and how to exercise their spiritual authority as believers. 4. Edifying the body of Christ with spiritual gifts.

Evangelism

He who wins soul is wise (Prov. 11:30b). We have been called to call others to Christ. This we carry out intentionally via periodic outreaches and online services to reach out to those at work or home on Sundays knowing that our God is omnipresent and he can save and is unhindered by time and space. We pray for more grace to continue winning souls for Christ to fulfill our calling and receive the reward for obedience at his coming. Amen.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Music Ministry

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16. This is our core mandate, and we are working towards it in prayer and by being faithful to the call we have received. It is our prayer that this ministry will empower lives to worship God in spirit and in truth and that whenever our praise goes up miracles, signs and wonders will come upon Christ's body. Amen.

Welfare Ministry

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again Proverbs 19:17. We are encouraged to give that we might be blessed. Transportation

We provide free means of transportation to our worship centre on Sunday with the bus taking off from Portsmouth and picking passengers along the way till its final stop at the Pallant Centre in Havant. All intending passenger should reach out to the transport committee representative after service on Sundays to make their interest known. You are welcome!

Pastor David is the Parish Pastor and leader of the ministerial team. His areas of distinctive Christian ministry are teaching and administration. He is married to Elizabeth and they are blessed with two beautiful girls (Davina and Priscilla) and a boy (Blessed Samuel).
